Cold-rolled steel coils are steel products that have undergone a cold rolling process. Cold rolling is a manufacturing process in which hot-rolled steel is passed through rollers at room temperature, compressing and shaping it into thinner and more precise coils. This process increases the hardness and strength of the steel and improve its surface finish while reducing thickness.
Cold-rolled sheets are steel products produced by cutting cold-rolled coils. Cold-rolled steel sheets have more accurate dimensional tolerances, better surface quality and improved mechanical properties than hot-rolled steel sheets. Cold rolling makes it possible to produce thinner steel sheets which so far can not be produced by hot-rolling mills.
